Retrospective of Artist Dolores Howard: What I See, How I Feel

Prosser Library Exhibit
Dolores Howard is a Bloomfield-based artist whose intuitive paintings, ranging from abstracts and figures to landscapes, are inspired by her love of color and its ability to evoke emotion, energy, and tranquility. A graduate of Pratt Institute and former fashion designer, she is an award-winning artist whose work has been exhibited throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts and who continues to share her passion for art through teaching and community engagement.
ART RECEPTION: Artist’s Reception on Friday, July 17, 3:00-5:00 PM in the Prosser Community Room; for all ages.

Community Partners in Action: Prison Arts Program

Prosser Library Exhibit
Initiated in 1978, the Prison Arts Program is Community Partners in Action’s longest running initiative and one of the oldest projects of its kind in the United States. Operating inside Connecticut prisons, the program fosters unique, evolving artistic pursuits to positively transform the lives of incarcerated individuals and improve the correctional environment. This impactful work relies on a collaborative network of prison staff, alumni artists, professional creators, volunteers, community organizations, and state agencies.
