For students entering grades 7-12: Join us on the McMahon Wintonbury lawn to upcycle your t-shirt and create a handy tote bag! Pokémon Card Trading Zone at Prosser! (Sat., July 2 @ 1:00 PM)
This program is an in-person compliment to our regular monthly virtual Pokémon Club on Zoom! Kids are invited to the Children’s Room at our Prosser location for a Pokémon card zone. Bring your cards to show off to fellow Pokémon fans, and maybe even agree on some cool card trades! Miss Nicole will have a few extra cards on hand for first-time collectors to help them build up their starter decks, and some Pokémon-themed board games will be on-hand for added fun. Nature Walk in Filley Park for All Ages (Sat., July 9 @ 11:00 AM) (Meet at Prosser!)
Bloomfield Public Library invites you to get outside this summer and enjoy a nature walk in beautiful Filley Park! We will meet at Prosser Library in the Children’s Room, fill up our water bottles, and then head over to Filley Park on foot. Members of the Filley Park Committee will join us to provide a little history about the park and help in identifying some of the trees and more. All attendees will receive a complimentary reusable water bottle. Children will also receive a nature journal and magnifying glass to take with them on our nature walks! Virtual Visit with Mystic Aquarium: BELUGA WHALES! (July 26 @ 10:45 AM) (Zoom)

Join us at this interactive program to map out your future and create a dream board. What do you want to happen in 2023? What are your goals, dreams, career aspirations? How would you like to change your social interactions and friendships? With the help of our teen volunteers, we’ll help guide you with a multitude of possibilities, as well as plenty of free time for you to create on your own. Kits (materials and snacks) will be provided by the library and available for pickup approximately one week before the program (while supplies last). A Bloomfield Public Library & West Hartford Public Libraries partnership. Best for students entering grades 6-9 but open to high school students as well. Join Bloomfield Public Library for it’s first ever BookCon…a book event for kids and teens! What is BookCon?
The Bloomfield Public Library Book Conference – or “BookCon” – is a chance for kids, tweens and teens to select and go home with FREE books of all kinds (and a variety of extra goodies!). Just visit the in-person BookCon event during one of the two timeframes (4-5pm or 6-7:30pm), and you can select all of the free things you’d like to take home…it’s as easy as that! Our event will take place offsite at 330 Park Avenue in Bloomfield (The Great Room A #128).
