2024 Summer Reading for All Ages

We’re excited to share another great summer reading season with all of you! Summer Reading is open to all ages – children, teens, and adults. The theme this year is “Read, Renew, Repeat” and the BPL program runs from June 3 – August 9. Thank you to the Friends of the Library for generously funding this program again this year.

We are also very excited to share that this year, Bloomfield Public Library (BPL) and the Bloomfield Schools are teaming up for one unified Summer Reading Program for youth!

1. Create an account

All participants will need to create an online account with BPL’s ReadSquared portal. Creating an account is as simple as picking a username and password. Every time you want to record reading over the summer, you will log into your account online. We love it when all members of a family or household participate in summer reading! You can register and link all family accounts, or register each member of your family separately…the choice is yours!

Click here to view READsquared instructional videos for help with registration and other tips.

2. Log your books for a chance to win prizes!

A variety of prizes will be available for children, teens, and adults. The more books you log, the more chances you have to win a variety of raffles. (NOTE: Program completion is not necessary to qualify for prizes.)

3. Attend FREE library programs

Check out the library event calendar for free programs all summer long!

Summer reading events and prizes are generously funded by the Friends of the Bloomfield Public Libraries.

4. Fill out the Summer Reading Survey

We’d love to get your feedback. Please fill out the Summer Reading Survey.
