Crafternoon: Upcycled T-Shirt Totes & Scarves (June 18 @ 2 PM) (Teens & Adults; Atrium)

“Read, Renew, Repeat” is the 2024 Summer Reading Theme. Let’s kickoff an eco-friendly Crafternoon series for Adults and Teens (entering grades 7-12) at the BPL Atrium conference room!

At today’s program, we will upcycle t-shirts. Bring your own shirt(s), if possible. We will have extra t-shirts on hand as well. This is a no-sew event and the only tool we will be using are scissors. For preparation purposes, let us know in the question field below which project you are interested in. You can also decide at the program. See the Event Calendar description for more details. Read more >

BPL BookCon for Kids & Teens! (June 28 @ 4:00 PM + 6:00 PM) (330 Park Ave. / Great Room)

Join Bloomfield Public Library for it’s second “BookCon”…a book event for youth of all ages!

What is BookCon? The Bloomfield Public Library Book Conference – or “BookCon” – is a chance for kids, tweens and teens to select and go home with FREE books of all kinds (and a variety of extra goodies!). Kids visit the in-person BookCon event during one of the two timeframes (4-5:30 PM or 6-8 PM), and they can select all of the free things they’d like to take home…it’s as easy as that! Our event will take place offsite at 330 Park Avenue in Bloomfield (The Great Room A #128). No registration necessary.

PLEASE NOTE: This event is for youth – only kids and teens will be allowed to select books to take home! Adults/Teacher may select books ONLY in the final hour of the event from 7-8 PM. Read more >
