Conversations & Camaraderie: A Conversation Group for Men (Prosser) (Fri., Sept. 11th @ 10:30 AM)

Conversations and Camaraderie (“C & C”) is a men’s group that provides a structured opportunity for men to connect with others. Facilitators work to create a welcoming environment, foster personal connections between individuals, and build a powerful sense of community.

Teen Gaming (Fri., Sept. 11, 2:30 PM) (Prosser)

Teens are invited to a drop-in gaming zone on Friday afternoons. No registration necessary—just pop into the Teen Room at Prosser Library and start the gaming fun!

Our starter games for Xbox and Nintendo Switch include Sonic the Hedgehog, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Super Mario Party, and Super Smash Bros. Teens are encouraged to let our staff what games they might like added.

Storytime @ Prosser (Mon., Sept. 14th, 10:30 AM)

Join BPL librarians at Prosser for a weekly preschool storytime!

Each Monday, BPL librarians share stories and songs in the Prosser Community Room followed by an optional craft, coloring, or playtime in the youth department. Best for ages 5 and under. Registration is appreciated, but not required. Drop-ins welcome!

Mystery Book Discussion: Heartwood (Virtual) (Mon., Sept. 14th @ 4:00 PM)

At this member-run program, we’ll be discussing: Heartwood by Amity Gaige. Copies of the book will be available approximately one month in advance at the library’s service desk.

Health Screenings for Adults (McMW) (Mon., Sept. 14th @ 5:00 PM)

The West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District will provide a registered nurse to offer FREE wellness screenings at the McMahon Wintonbury Library from 5:00-6:30 pm. This service will include blood pressure, pulse rate, oxygen level, and weight. Various health information will be available. No appointment is needed; everyone is welcome!
