Take & Make: MOON PHASES CALENDAR (Starting Sept. 26) (Prosser & McMahon)

In anticipation of International Observe the Moon Night (IOMN) on Oct. 1st, we will be handing out a “take and make” item developed by the educational division of the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory: A 2022 Moon Phases Calendar. With a few simple steps, you can create your own device to show you what phase the moon will be at throughout 2022! Join us for yoga with Pia Oliveri
Pia is the Owner and Director of Wabi-Sabi Yoga and Wellness Center in South Windsor, CT. Through yoga, meditation and breath work she believes healing happens from the inside out. Her Gentle Yoga Class is a true representation of the Eight Limbs of Yoga! Classical Guitar Recital by Carlos Pavan (Virtual) (Wed., Sept 28th @ 6:30 PM)

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15) with BPL! Join us for a guitar recital by Carlos Pavan, who will be playing for us live from his studio in New York City. Carlos is an Argentine composer who blends tango and folklore rhythms with jazz harmonies and classical technique. In between his beautiful playing, he’ll share stories and anecdotes about his culture, playing guitar, and composing music. Read more >

Dungeons & Dragons Gaming for Teens (Prosser) (Sep. 29 @ 5:30 PM)

By request, BPL is starting it’s first Dungeon & Dragons gaming club for teens in grades 7-12! In partnership with the crew from Tabletop Gaming Center (Newington, CT), this D&D club is perfect for beginners (and any teens looking to expand their gameplay to another group). In this first meeting, the focus will be in explaining how gameplay works, how to design your character…and more. The group will meet every Thursday at Prosser from 5:30-7:30 PM. Registration is required. Dice and other supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own supplies. Questions?
